What pool owners here run into
Robot, suction cleaner or a net: deciding what the pool actually needs
Why it happens
Many Sunshine Coast pools already have a cleaning routine, whether a suction or pressure cleaner or a pole and net, and owners want to know what a robot would change before they spend on one.
Why it matters
A robot bought for the wrong reason disappoints. The Dolphin range lists different coverage by model, from floor and walls on the S150 to floors, walls and waterline on the M700, so the surfaces you want cleaned decide the shortlist.

Sizing a robot to the pool
Why it happens
Pool length is the first filter in the Dolphin range: the S150 is listed for pools up to 10 m, and the M700, M600, M400 and S250 for pools up to 15 m. Steps, sun ledges and a shallow entry add a second question, because the S1000, S2000 and S3000 are the models Billabong's range page lists for steps and sun-ledges as shallow as 30 cm.
Why it matters
A robot that does not reach the far end, or leaves the steps, is the complaint that brings units back to the counter.
What we do
Measure the longest run of the pool, note the steps and ledges, and bring both to the branch or read them out over the phone. If a trailing cable is the concern, the cordless Liberty 200, 400 and 600 are part of the range Billabong lists; phone first to check which models are in the shop.
Keeping the robot running for years
Why it happens
Brushes, filters and tracks are wear items on any robotic cleaner, and a fault can appear in the middle of summer when the pool is busiest.
